Wild Card – Annual Family Pass

Default

The Wild Card provides two adults and two children unlimited entry to the Butterfly House and Mini Zoo for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Williamson Park in Lancaster is home to the iconic Ashton Memorial and 54 acres of beautiful parkland, with enchanting woodland walks, play areas, and breathtaking views to the Fylde Coast, Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland fells. Park attractions include the Pavilion Café and shop, Butterfly House (formerly a tropical palm house), and Mini Zoo, home to resident meerkats, marmosets, mini-beasts and birds.

The park is open all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The facilities’ opening hours are 10am - 5pm (April to September) and 10am - 4pm (October to March). Entry to Williamson Park grounds and the Ashton Memorial is free, though there is a small entry fee for the Butterfly House and Mini Zoo (available at the gift shop).

There is good access to the majority of the park’s facilities, with smooth, solid floor surfaces in the café and shop, and though there are narrow pathways in the Butterfly House and Mini Zoo, they are accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. Access to the ground floor of the Ashton Memorial is via steps or a lift, although access to the upper floors is via stairs only. There are disabled toilet facilities at the cafe (open all year) and at Wyresdale Road car park (open April to September).

Williamson Park is only a few miles from either junction 33 or 34 of the M6, and is well signposted. The number 18 bus from Lancaster Bus Station will also take you up the hill and stops at both park entrances.

  • Went to visit as a short outing on a beautiful day and it was absolutely wonderful. Had a leisurely walk. Everyone around was friendly and a nice cup of tea. Worth visiting for a few hours to get some fresh air and nice scenery

  • My sister and I enjoyed a lovely hour or so wandering around the tracks and visiting the buildings. The viewpoint from the top of the main buildimg is well worth a look. Will visit again.
